The space includes lounge chairs out in the sun, and chairs and love seats in the shade under a roof. There are a few umbrellas in the front row of loungers, but not many. There are also two hot tubs, one on each side of the deck.

The scenic ocean view rooms feature amazing, floor-to-ceiling windows and space for up to two guests. Supervised age-specific fun youth activities will keep kids from ages 2 to 11 years happy and busy at Camp Carnival, which is like a summer camp, but at sea. Delighting children, is Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends. Circle "C" club offers a "cool" place for those ages 12 to14 with a host of video games, dance parties, Karaoke and more. Together, these two dry docks added Bonsai Sushi, Javablue Café, Cherry on Top, Alchemy Bar, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, BlueIguana Tequila Bar, RedFrog Rum Bar, Camp Ocean and more to the ship. The 2017 dry dock even added a new deck to the ship, with suites and a few scenic staterooms. Passengers can also find some deck chairs and loungers on Deck 15 (Sun), which is the top deck on Carnival Elation. This section can be accessed via the elevator and the outdoor stairs found in the mini-golf and bocce ball areas on Deck 14 (Grand). There are two additional hot tubs located on the adults-only Serenity Deck at the back of the ship. Other changes included remodeling several venues and adding JavaBlue Cafe (patisserie/coffee bar) and Bonsai Sushi Express (complimentary take-away dining option/made-to-order sushi). At more than 25 years old, Carnival Elation is admittedly one of the older cruise ships you could pick for an upcoming vacation. The two sister ships are the only Fantasy-class ships still in operation. The older Fantasy-class ships, the first of which entered service in 1990, with Carnival Fantasy in the lead, have all been retired, with most entering retirement in 2020 or 2022. All retired Fantasy-class ships have been sold for scrap. Often cruise lines offer special rates that cannot be displayed to the general public.
